Okinawa - 沖縄県
Japan's southernmost prefecture is Okinawa, a group of dozens of islands located between Japan's southern island of Kyushu and Taiwan.

The prefecture's biggest island, Okinawa was invaded by American troops in World War Two, and a large number of American Military remained stationed on the island even now. (They refer to it as Okitraz)

This has lead to a large Western influence, especially in Chatan where 53% of the towns land area is covered by US Military bases.
With the inclusion of Mihama American Village, a westernised shopping/eating complex with a variety of western shops and restaurants.

Food it's known for:

- Sea grapes (used in salads and anything really)

Purple sweet potato (most common being sweet potato tarts and ice cream)
